Who we are
Overtow is made by Data Pulse Solutions OÜ, registry code 16833707, Järveotsa tee 13-4, 13520 Tallinn, Estonia. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at privacy@hashin.eu.
What stays on your device
Your scores, fireflies, boats, achievements and settings are saved on your device. There is no Overtow account. On Android, this save may be copied to your Google account by Android Auto Backup, which you control in your device settings.
What is collected
| Service | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Showing ads and limiting how often they appear | Advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, ad interactions |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Understanding how the game is played so we can improve it | App instance ID, device and app information, approximate location, game events such as runs and purchases |
| Firebase Remote Config | Adjusting game settings such as ad timing without an update | App instance ID, device and app information |
| Sentry (EU data storage) | Finding and fixing crashes | Device and app information, error details |
| Google Play Billing | Processing and restoring purchases | Handled by Google. We never see your payment details. |
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to serve and protect it.
Why we may use it
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, personalised ads rely on your consent, which you give or refuse when you first open the game. Analytics also rely on your consent. You can change your choice at any time under Settings in the game. Crash reporting relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the game working, and purchases are processed to perform our contract with you.
Sharing and transfers
We share data only with the providers above, who process it to provide their services. Some of them, including Google, may process data outside the EEA under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your personal data for money, but see the section for US residents below.
How long data is kept
Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Save data stays on your device until you delete the app.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Because we have no accounts, we may need your app instance ID or similar details to find your data. You can reset your advertising ID in your device settings. You may also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or your local authority.
How to delete your data
To delete your analytics data, copy your Player ID from Settings in the game and email it to privacy@hashin.eu. We will delete it and confirm when that is done. If Settings shows no Player ID, analytics is off on your device, so nothing new is being collected. Your Player ID belongs to one installation of the game: reinstalling or clearing its data creates a new one, and we cannot link the two. Data under an earlier ID can only be deleted if you still have that ID. Otherwise we cannot identify it as yours, and it is deleted automatically within 14 months. Crash reports are not linked to you and expire after 90 days.
To delete your save, clear the app's storage or uninstall the game. You can remove any backup copy in your Google account settings. Google controls the data it holds for ads and purchases: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings, and manage the rest through your Google account. Tell us if you need help with a purchase.
US residents
Some US state privacy laws treat sharing data with advertising partners for targeted ads as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal data, even when no money changes hands. The advertising identifiers, app activity and approximate location described above may be shared with Google and its ad partners in this way. Where these laws apply, you can opt out under Settings in the game. You may also have the right to know, access, correct or delete your personal data by contacting us, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
Overtow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above.
